Staff and individuals at the Bellerose Day Services Program showed off their Recycled Artwork at the Program this week. Each classroom was given an object to create their masterpieces from....many using recycled objects to do so!
Rigaud showed off his classroom’s original “DREAM CATCHER” project that started off with a recycled frame. Vanessa’s classroom created a delightful “BEACH HAT” with beach scene that started with a piece of fabric. Kelly’s classroom painted, glued and created a colorful “POT FROG” that started off with a terra cotta flowerpot – how cute is that! And the beautiful flower display started with some cork coasters which Imitiaz is proudly showing off. Staff, Maureen, is proud of her classroom’s bedazzled apron that started off with a piece of fabric. She has even gotten requests to make more to sell to staff!
The project took the classrooms about three weeks to develop and put together their ideas to create a unique piece of “Recycled Artwork” for each classroom to display. Staff and participants were so proud of each and every piece of artwork – and rightly so – great job! Special thanks to Rosa for coordinating this exciting event!
