Team QCP — Still Running After All These Years!

For the eighth year “running” Team QCP pounded the pavement of all five boroughs in the 2018 TCS NYC Marathon to raise money for Queens Centers For Progress. This year’s contingent of fourteen, managed to raise almost $35,000 (a record!)

According to Wendy Phaff, QCP Director of Development, “We’re so indebted to our team for bringing heart and sole to our agency, for understanding our mission, and for helping to further it through their running efforts.” Wendy herself is a veteran marathoner, having not only been part of this year’s Team QCP at the TCS NYC Marathon, but also the Marine Corps Marathon and Philadelphia Marathon.

A spirited crowd lead by Board President, Michael Macaluso, along with staff, members of the community and a tyrannosaurus-rex all lined the Queens Cheer Section where pom-poms, cowbells and a lot go good cheer welcomed Team QCP runners and a record breaking crowd of 52,000 who participated in the event.

This year’s runners included Kaitlyn Lomuto, a first-time Marathoner who was the first to finish of the fourteen-member team!

Congratulations, and heartfelt thanks to everyone on TeamQCP.
