QCP's Pre-Vocational Program volunteers at the Food Pantry at the Northeastern Conference. Families invited to give feedback on accessing OPWDD servicesOPWDD wants to hear from all families in New York State across diverse racial, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, and other identity groups. This would include families who:• Are currently receiving supports and services.• Have received supports and services in the past.• Are currently unable or have been unable to access supports and services. Georgetown University National Center for Cultural Competence (NCCC) is leading listening sessions (on Zoom and the telephone) for families of persons with intellectual or other developmental disabilities (IDD).The listening sessions are intended for NCCC to hear about your experiences in accessing OPWDD supports and services:• based on your family’s cultural beliefs and practices• in your preferred language• that are appropriate and fair for your family member with IDDMultiple sessions will be offered.
