With style and flair, owner of LP & Company Hair Salon Larry Mottola opened his Fresh Meadows salon for one day during the holiday season to invite individuals with disabilities in for free haircuts. The full-house event was captured by NY1, which aired the holiday beauty makeover event that highlighted QCP program participants receiving fresh cuts and new styles.

Larry began this holiday tradition 32 years ago, after being inspired by an individual who attended Queens Centers for Progress programs. Larry witnessed how making people look beautiful around the holidays uplifted their spirits and continues to invite people with disabilities into his salon, including many of the individuals from Queens Centers for Progress. QCP thanks Larry and his crew for this special gift.
