QCP Employees to be Recognized at Upcoming CP of NYS Annual Conference

As anticipation builds for the upcoming 2024 CP State Conference in Saratoga Springs, NY, Queens Centers for Progress (QCP) will proudly honor three outstanding employees whose dedication and expertise have significantly enriched the lives of those they serve.

Albertina Diaz, a Day Services Assistant at QCP’s 164th Street Day Services Program since 2009, exemplifies unwavering commitment and compassion. Known for her positive work ethic, Ms. Diaz fosters meaningful relationships with individuals and their families, ensuring that person-centered planning remains at the forefront of her approach. Her encouragement of personal choice and engagement in various activities reflects her dedication to enhancing the lives of others, making her a deserving recipient of this recognition.

Joining Ms. Diaz in this esteemed acknowledgment is Sharon Odom, who joined QCP in 2007 and currently serves as a Senior Habilitation Specialist at the Bellerose Day Services Program. Ms. Odom’s vibrant personality infuses joy into her classroom environment, where she leads engaging and creative learning groups with enthusiasm. Her role extends beyond teaching as she mentors new staff members with confidence and serves as a valuable team player, embodying the spirit of dedication and camaraderie.

Maria Teresa Salazar, a stalwart in QCP’s Accounting Department since 2003, rounds out this trio of honorees. As an Accounting Assistant, Ms. Salazar ensures the smooth operation of financial processes, demonstrating impeccable organizational skills and effective communication abilities in both English and Spanish. Her integral role in maintaining financial integrity underscores her indispensable contribution to QCP’s operations, earning her sincere gratitude and recognition.
